Overview
Vitamin E was discovered about 80 years ago, but in the last twenty years it has been discovered to be a powerful antioxidant that may play a vital role in protecting the body from many chronic disorders. Vitamin E is fat soluble and poorly absorbed. It is stored in the fat tissues and the liver. Vitamin E is a term for a group of related compounds called "tocopherols" and "tocotrienols", which occur in four major forms: alpha, beta, delta, and gamma. Alpha tocopherol is known to be the most common and potent form of vitamin E.
Vitamin E is necessary for structural and functional maintenance of the skeletal, cardiac and smooth muscle membranes. Vitamin E also assists in the formation of red blood cells and helps to maintain vitamin A, K, iron and selenium and increases the storage of each of these in the body. Vitamin E has numerous clinical applications.
So much research has been conducted on Vitamin E, that a myriad of potential health benefits have been discovered. These health benefits may support the overall health of people suffering from a long list of disorders or disease states.
Although Vitamin E is the most common vitamin found in nature, it is often lacking in processed foods. The majority of foods that provide vitamin E are high in fat, so supplementation is an excellent option for anyone seeking the numerous benefits of vitamin E--without all the fat! The Vitamin E used by our facility is derived from soybean oil.
Our Vitamin E is available in 200 or 1000IU softgels in a number of sizes.
This formula of our Vitamin E softgels is available in two separate potencies. This gives the customer different options to meet their individual needs. Softgels are easy to take and an optimal delivery system as Vitamin E is fat-soluble, and is more bioavailable when taken with some form of fat.
